Wax Deposition is the main severe problem that causes acute problems during the production of hydrocarbon fluids and associated issues in crude oil transport lines.
The systematically and comprehensively improved thermodynamic PC-SAFT model of the wax formation allows for better prediction of wax deposition rates for flow assurance and able to overcome the limitations encountered by traditional cubic equations of state. The advantage of PC-SAFT is mainly the accuracy in the estimation of fugacities of heavy components in vapor and liquid mixtures. Developed algorithms incorporate the updated oil sample information periodically to ensure that the wax predictions are reliable.
